3 Ways to Feel (and Look) Healthier

Looking good is one thing, yet regardless of how you look on the outside, if you feel lousy on the inside, ultimately you’re not going to be able to put your best foot forward. And what good is it looking great if you feel terrible?

The good news is that by adopting the right habits, you can expect a big difference in your energy levels, and also the way you look in the mirror.

If you’re ready to glow from the inside out, here are some simple yet incredibly effective ways to feel (and look) healthier every day.

Set Up Your Environment For Health

Your living environment will play a big role in how you look and feel. That’s why it’s important that you set up your living environment with your best interests in mind. Avoid any kind of smoke inside, clean your air ducts, and remember to clean your house.

Hygiene plays an important role in your overall health, so take the time to deep clean your counters, wash your dishes, and keep your house a clean and hygienic environment.

Hydrate Like Your Health Depends on It (Because It Does!)

Water is the foundation of good health. It flushes out toxins, keeps your skin glowing, and boosts energy levels. Dehydration, on the other hand, can lead to fatigue, headaches, and dull skin.  If you don’t drink enough water, then it’s never too late to start. Start off by kicking your day off with a glass of water. Yes, that means a glass of water before your beloved coffee.

After that initial glass of water to get your day started, don’t forget the importance of sipping throughout the rest of the day. Carry around a water bottle with you wherever you go, and get into the habit of taking small drinks.

If sipping water is not your thing, then you should consider adding a little flavor to the water. A bit of mint, or slices of lemon can make your water taste that much better. You should also consider getting a thermal water bottle so that your water stays cool throughout the day. Water is so much more delicious when it’s cool and refreshing rather than lukewarm and tastes like plastic.

Eat Nutrient Dense Foods

Instead of eating whatever is the most convenient, opt for foods that are nutrient-dense. Loading up on sugars or processed foods will only make you feel more sluggish, and also can lead to breakouts. Focus on eating foods like avocados, nuts, and of course lean proteins like chicken and fish.

Don’t forget the importance of colorful fruits and vegetables packed with plenty of vitamins and antioxidants. That doesn’t mean you need a perfect diet, you just need to make smarter choices the majority of the time.
